Did you know that lemon peel can save you from chronic joint pain? Well, now you do.
Lemons are one of the most beneficial and most refreshing fruits. They are used to treat various health issues and are one of the oldest cultivated fruits in the world.
You already know that drinking hot lemonade in the morning will improve digestion and boost your immune system but that’s not where the benefits of this fruit end. Lemon is packed full with vitamins A, B1, B6, C, magnesium, potassium, calcium, pectin, folic acid, phosphorous and bioflavonoids.
The combination of these ingredients can fight various diseases and have a positive effect on the overall health.
The antiseptic properties of the lemon make it a weapon of choice when fighting a fever. A lemon juice in the morning will significantly reduce the symptoms of morning sickness during pregnancy and treat nausea in an instant. Moreover, the essential oils in the lemon relax the blood vessels and alleviate nerve pain.
But today, we are going to talk a little bit about the lemon peel. Lemon peel can be used in order to soothe joint pain. You can use the peel in two different ways to obtain the same results. Here they are:
- Peel two lemons and place the peel in a glass jar. Pour some olive oil over it and close the jar. Leave it closed for 2 weeks and your lemon oil will be ready for use. All you need to do now is pour it on some gauze and apply it directly on the problematic area. Secure it with a bandage and leave it to soothe the pain overnight.
- Grate only the yellow layer of the lemon peel and apply it directly on the affected area. Same as above, secure it with a bandage and leave it to act for a couple of hours.
